Seriously give me everything she has ever written and I want to read it. I finished Dark Places and I’m more thrilled about her and her stories. If Sharp Objects blew my mind once, Dark Places splattered my brain all over the place.

And I still want more.

On Writing

Recently I read On Writing: A memoir of the craft, written by Stephen King. It was a book I wanted to read for some time and I finally put my hands on it. And it was good.

The book is divided in two parts. In the first one we read about King’s life since he wants to show us how a writer was formed. During this part, I learned a lot about his life and I was surprised to learn about his alcoholism and drug addiction. But King talked about everything and I was able to understand him. I see now that it was necessary to read all these stuff before I moved on the next part, where he talks about writing. Because after that part I could judge better his likes and way on writing.

Divided - Excerpt

Salut from France once again. Today I was reading Divided, trying to catch up in order to continue writing the sequel, and I decided to share with you the first chapter. Seeing that you liked the prologue, made me really happy, but now I’m anxious about chapter one. Will you like it? 

I have to remind you that this is my first rough draft, so forgive me if everything is not perfect. I hope you’ll enjoy this chapter too.

Divided

Hi there. It’s Sunday and today it was all about resting. But I couldn’t do it. My mind just can’t turn off. So… I made a decision.

Since I can’t decide if should share my second book on my blog or not, (see here if you want to know what I’m talking about). I decided to share the prologue, which is only 500 words, and see what you have to say. It won’t take much of your time and I know you’ll find it interesting. ;)

Dazed - Synopsis

Weeks are passing by so fast that I’ve lost track of time. It’s Monday already and that leaves me only three days before I have to take some time off and visit my parents, which means no internet. At least I have my cell, which will give me some internet access. Anyway, for today I decided to share with you the synopsis for my book, DAZED. It’s official, my most creative time of the day it’s when I go to sleep. No, no don’t laugh, I’m serious. I can’t really explain why but it has happened to me too many times to ignore it. The moment I close my eyes and I try to sleep, my mind just go wild. Maybe it’s the quiet of the night, no lights, to TV, no music, nothing. It’s just me and my thoughts. 

Those moments … something magical happens.

Recently I watched Inception again and I remembered the meaning of this movie, which is, “reality is a relative concept.” And so it got me thinking.

Secondary Characters

Today’s subject is about book characters. We all know how it goes. The main character in a book is the one whose story we follow, and as writers, the one we try to establish and make the reader care about him or her. He/she is the core of the book we are creating or the book we are reading, but our focus should not be on the main character all the time. A story consists of more characters, which are playing an important role too.

Multiple reading??!

Today’s post is about reading. I was on the internet, searching books and blogs and I noticed that there are people who read two books at the same time. Ok, it’s not something crazy and I know that it is common for some to read more than one books, but I am wondering…how someone can enjoy reading two books alongside?

Clouded thoughts

Well, there is this thing that I am facing lately that makes me feel a little off. It’s like when you wake up in a cloudy day and you feel tired, moody and a grey atmosphere surrounds you like the sight outside your window. I feel like a sunbeam hidden behind layers of clouds which just don’t let me shine. 

And the trouble is that I know what I need to do in order to change this…but it’s not really possible.
