Divided - Excerpt

Salut from France once again. Today I was reading Divided, trying to catch up in order to continue writing the sequel, and I decided to share with you the first chapter. Seeing that you liked the prologue, made me really happy, but now I’m anxious about chapter one. Will you like it? 

I have to remind you that this is my first rough draft, so forgive me if everything is not perfect. I hope you’ll enjoy this chapter too.

Plotting or no Plotting?

That’s the huge question, right? 

Let’s say we have an amazing idea and we want to make it a novel. We are happy, exciting and we want to know every little detail before we sit down and write it. We want to make it great. 
We think, we plan, we take notes, we do research and we spend countless hours just thinking about it. We are plotting.

Today I feel like talking about writing. Sadly I’m taking a break, since editing takes all of my time, but I managed to write the first 5000 words of my third book, but that’s hardly writing. Anyway, I’ve read books, I wrote critiques and some reviews, and I must admit that I learned many things from those tasks. One of the most important is … Twists and Turns.

Divided

Hi there. It’s Sunday and today it was all about resting. But I couldn’t do it. My mind just can’t turn off. So… I made a decision.

Since I can’t decide if should share my second book on my blog or not, (see here if you want to know what I’m talking about). I decided to share the prologue, which is only 500 words, and see what you have to say. It won’t take much of your time and I know you’ll find it interesting. ;)

Dilemma

June is coming soon and I was thinking it would be nice to make a change on my blog, but I couldn’t think of something particular. When it hit me. I can’t decide though if I should do it or not. I’m having a dilemma. I’m uploading this post late today, but now I had the chance to be online and I didn’t want to waste any time.

I would appreciate your opinion. I'd love you to tell me what do you think. So, here it goes.

Multiple reading??!

Today’s post is about reading. I was on the internet, searching books and blogs and I noticed that there are people who read two books at the same time. Ok, it’s not something crazy and I know that it is common for some to read more than one books, but I am wondering…how someone can enjoy reading two books alongside?

Time

Time is a very important factor but as important as it is, I am not sure if we use it wise. At least I know I could use my time way better than I do. “The trouble is you think you have time.” I read this quote some weeks ago and it has stuck in my mind for good. It is so true don’t you agree? 

Inspiration has no time.

It’s true. You can never know when or how the next idea for a novel or the inspiration to continue an existing one, will come. It can come from every little thing. Me for example I have some experiences to share.

Random thoughts about NaNoWriMo.

November is here and since yesterday has started the National Novel Writing Month. The rule is simple, write the first draft of a novel in a month. 50,000 words at least and you are in! It is a project that started in 1999 and since then many-many writers participate every year.

I was so excited about participating too in NaNoWriMo but that would mean I have to stop writing the one I am working on and start another. That’s makes me sad since I am so focused on the YA I’m creating. I don’t know what to do…continue writing what I already have or start a new one? The clock is ticking and I have a decision to make.

I know that writing a novel in a month will be a unique experience since I will be able to talk with others who experiencing the same and it will be fun but I want to finish my novel and write the sequel since I am planning to make it a trilogy (I hope!)

If only I could participate with what I already have but…rules are rules and I know that some of you out there are wishing the same…right?
