Secondary Characters
Today’s subject is about book characters. We all know
how it goes. The main character in a book is the one whose story we follow, and
as writers, the one we try to establish and make the reader care about him or
her. He/she is the core of the book we are creating or the book we are reading,
but our focus should not be on the main character all the time. A story
consists of more characters, which are playing an important role too.

Multiple reading??!
Today’s post is about reading. I was on the internet,
searching books and blogs and I noticed that there are people who read two
books at the same time. Ok, it’s not something crazy and I know that it is common for some to read more than one books, but I am wondering…how someone
can enjoy reading two books alongside?

Clouded thoughts
Well, there is this thing that I am facing lately that
makes me feel a little off. It’s like when you wake up in a cloudy day and you
feel tired, moody and a grey atmosphere surrounds you like the sight outside
your window. I feel like a sunbeam hidden behind layers of clouds which just
don’t let me shine.
And the trouble is that I know what I need to do in order to change this…but it’s not really possible.

Editing Confusion
Today I want to talk to you about a confusion that takes place inside my mind. All started along with the editing I am currently doing for my first book DAZED. Until the fourth draft (which I am finishing now) everything was clear and I was confident and happy. Some time I decided to do two more drafts, as soon as I finish this one, but while I am getting closer, I am having second thoughts.

Impossible? Think again...
Nelson Mandela once said, “It always seems impossible
until it’s done.” How true is this, right? We should never say that something isn’t
going to happen because everything seems impossible until it’s done. Think
about it.

The Host
Today I want to talk about The Host by Stephenie
Meyer. As you can see, at the end of the page I have the review I had written
for Goodreads and if you have read it, you will know how much I love this book.
With few words, The Host, describes the invasion of aliens on earth, but it has
nothing to do with other books with aliens. This book can stick in your head.

Writing and Editing...two different worlds.
Writing and editing…the most important parts in a
writer’s life but two very different parts. Writing is the core of a writer’s life. It is where we
are called to create our story, to build our characters, to give them substance
and make them real, make the reader care about them and keep them interested
and curious about their lives so they want to keep reading and reading and get
attached with them. When we write we must be focused on that and not trouble
our mind with anything else.

Supportive much?
Liebster Blog Award gave me the opportunity to talk
about something important and that is support. The fact is that there are a
million blogs and writers around the world and in order to be known and have
your blog read by other people, hard work is demanded and dedication. But are
those two enough?

Liebster Blog Award
Here I am sitting by the fire and trying to study for
exams but I just don’t have it today. So, I get online and I see a mail that
someone has left a comment on my blog. I read it and I smile. Riza Ponciano has
left me a message saying that she has nominated me for the Liebster Blog Award
and I quickly open her blog to read more about it.

Writer’s self-doubt
Well, it was about time for the doubt to knock on my
door…again! I’m sure every single one of you knows what I mean. I’m talking
about that little annoying voice in your mind which tells you that you are just
not good enough, you are not cut out for this and as hard as you try to shut it
down the voice continues screaming at you, making your confidence jumps off the
window in a fall without borders. You may hear it when you are reading a good
novel or when you see a beautiful manuscript or, even worse...when you are
writing your own.

Dazed
I’m too excited today because I will talk about my
first book. If you have read my posts, you may have noticed that I haven’t written
the title anywhere. A reason I avoided it, was what I said in my previous post.
I had uploaded it as a trial and now it still exists even if I have it as a draft
on my KPD, because I still work on it. So, today I found the courage to talk
about it with title and blurb and all. So…here we are.

When to Publish?
I believe this is a question many indie authors have,
including me. It is a big question mark like the one in the picture, which dances in my mind for months. I am referring to indie authors because we do things alone and
we don’t know exactly how these things works so our questions marks are plenty and we struggle. I have finished two novels but I
am still working on them. My first is on its forth draft and I guess that I
will have at least two more before I publish it. But is this enough?

Writers-Loners
First day of the New Year and I will welcome it with a
post about us…writers and loners. It’s not a rule but I think it is
something that happens a lot. And in my case, I fit the profile. So…writer and
loner, loner and writer, are two separate things or there is a connection?
