The Final Descent

It’s been a while since I read a book and even more since I blogged about it. I’ve been lost lately, but upon reading a good book, it’s just impossible not to share my thoughts about it.

I’m proud enough to finally finish another series I’ve been reading. I love series and I do choose series more than standalones, but at the same time I don’t want to rush into it, I want to make the story last longer.

And this one was worth the time. 

The Monstrumologist series: The Isle of Blood

Doctor Warthrop goes hunting the "Holy Grail of Monstrumology" leaving Will Henry alone for the first time. But what hurts the most is that Warthrop doesn't go alone, but takes with him his new eager for hunting assistant, Arkwright. Will Henry doesn't cope well with his doctor's decision and when some months later a letter arrives declaring him dead, Will knows that he needs to go and find him.

Monstrumologist: The Curse of the Wendigo

The Curse of the Wendigo is the second book in the Monstrumology series by Rick Yancey.

We are in Doctor Warthrop’s world again and the story is breathtaking. I was craving to read more about this mysterious stories and learn about new dangerous species. So I go back to 1897 and follow the Wendigo.

A pretty interesting title, don’t you agree? At least if you are intrigued by monsters, dark creatures and peculiar scientists in 1888. I was thrilled since the moment I read the synopsis and the book itself hooked me for good.
