Think Out Loud: Feelings

This is Think out Loud. It’s a weekly meme created to help bloggers break out from the blogging bubble. The rules are simple. We post whatever we want and let people know what’s in our mind. Visit the creator on Thinks Books and join too. It’s so cool to share your random thoughts.

I feel my head ready to explode, my feet are cold and I am numb. I don’t know how long I’ve been sitting here, is it minutes, hours or days? My mind travels away, to new roads, paths and realities and I am addicted to it.

It’s a whole new world, a new adventure each day, a new task waiting to be fulfilled. I take a single idea, a small detail and follow it, expand it, until almost always, it leads me to a new discovery and it drags me further inside this magical world, this fantastical but yet so real place where everything is possible.

I am not bored here, I’m not complaining and that’s why I ignore the freezing fingers on the keyboard. This is the peace of mind, even if my mind spins in crazy rhythms. This is the beauty of creation that I want to feel every single time, every day and night.

And I feel alive, happy and those moments nothing else matters, no worries, no troubles nothing.

They say there is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed. Well, yeah we bleed, but it’s another kind of bleeding the one that make our head fuzzy and our vision blurry.  We bleed stories and crave we can drag as many people as we can inside this beautiful vortex of feelings and imagination.

This is how I feel about writing.

  1. Yes to all of that. You capture the frenzy so perfectly, especially the last line, bleeding stories and craving an audience for the world we created. Great TOL, Athina!

  2. Love this! As a comic creator, I totally bleed stories, too. All that blood gets kinda messy sometimes, but hey, it's worth it, right? ;)

  3. Beautiful, just beautiful. I find myself doing that all the time when I open a blank doc. Even if I had nothing planned before that.
