Feature and Follow #26: Shame on you

It's Friday and here is another Feature and Follow.
You know how it works; AlisonCan Read and Parajunkee are the hosts and every week they have a new question for us to answer.  It’s a way to meet new blogs and bloggers and socialize. :) In the links above you can learn how you can join too and everything there is to  know.
So, go grab the button and start meeting new people!!!

QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What book (or TV show or movie) have you not read that seemingly everyone else has?

Hmmm, it’s time to reveal my secret.

But before I share with you my shame, I must say that I watched the movies. All of them. And I really liked them. It’s not that I don’t want to read the books, but I kind of stall it and then I forgot about them and then felt too old for reading this. I know I should read this series sometime and I know that everyone says it’s an amazing read.

I’m talking about the Harry Potter series.

Oh well, don’t look at me with wide eyes. I will read them I promise. :)

How about you? I look forward to read your answers.

Happy Friday!

  1. I am not too surprised! Seeing this as a pick for quite a few bloggers. I have read them all and seen all the movies as well. Only because one of my teachers in 6th grade started reading to us from the first book and I suddenly decided that I wanted it! So naturally I had to keep up. I think this was probably about the time they were first coming out. That or it was with books 2 & 3 being out. I remember because my sister and me decided we needed them and she wasn't going to let me read the 2nd one first and I was like seriously!? She even took forever to read it. I think I might have read the third one first, unless I stopped and stole the 2nd from her since she hadn't started it yet.

The actual memory is fuzzy but I do recall there being issues then! :)

    Here's my Follow Friday

  2. You are not alone! I haven't read HP either. My hope is to read it with John in a few years, then watch the movies all over again. I remember the excitement surrounding the release dates of each installment. I wasn't a big reader then and wished I was because all that energy looked like a lot of fun. I hope you have a great weekend, Athina.

  3. I didn't start the series until the movies were just starting to come out and then had to have them all and anxiously awaited the new releases. But I'm funny because I don't like to watch the movie until I read the book, so if it's something I really want to see then I'm reading it...and if I don't have time...well that's why I haven't watched The Hunger Games yet LOL.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!!

  4. I haven't read Harry Potter either. Not one single one of the books. The characters are too young for me and the story never really appealed to me. I like books where characters are at least 16 and over :)

  5. LOL Nothing to be ashamed of, Athina. There are so many wonderful books out there, it shouldn't be surprising that we can't get to them all. :)

  8. It's okay! The movies are actually pretty good, compared to other books-turned-movies type. :) Thanks for visiting!
