Feature anf Follow #6: Guilty pleasures

It's Friday and here is another Feature and Follow. You know how it works; AlisonCan Read and Parajunkee are the hosts and every week they have a new question for us to answer.  It’s a way to meet new blogs and bloggers and socialize. :) In the links above you can learn how you can join too and everything there is to  know.
So, go grab the button and start meeting new people!!!

Question of the week: What is your guilty pleasure as far as reading? Is it a genre or a certain type of book?

I like this question! It’s time to share our dirty little secrets. :)
Well, my guilty pleasure as far as reading is action and killings. What is a book if all the main characters go through hell and at the end they are living happily ever after? It’s not real and it pisses me off. Some of the characters just have to die! It adds tension and surprise and that’s what I want from a book. Maybe that’s the reason I love Game of Thrones so much. Every character is like a main character and you never know if he or she is going to make it until the end of the book.

How about you? Feel free to share your guilty pleasure…I’m waiting. :)

  3. Haha you're so evil! The character defiantly has to suffer throughout the book!

  5. I admit I laughed at your confession. But me, I hate it when characters die. Although villains should die!! Unless they're like the hero, going through a transformation then they become the one you just want to be with in real life. :p

    Thanks for stopping by earlier!

  7. Funny. I am not on the same page at all! A tidy happy ending never pisses me off. I'm the total commercial reader, the one that drives critics crazy. I'm easy to please and if I really love the author I'll work overtime to rationalize a less than stellar ending. This is a great FF because I love reading about our different preferences. Old follower here. Thanks for stopping by. Happy Friday!

  8. OOh nice one! I like me a HEA ending though. Yeah, deaths can be shocking and can definitely add to the storyline but not sure if I actually enjoy those moments. Have nearly bawled in a few books because of deaths!

  10. LOL! I love this. I always need my HEA, but I know that it's not real life. I do hate when characters die, but... I think some stories require it to be even more meaningful and heartwrenching, lol.

Thanks for stopping by my FF!

  12. I love actions and killings too. I read The Twilight Saga and was waiting for some of the Cullens to die off. But they didn't even after book four. I said, 'well... this is a book!' Didn't feel real to me. Maybe that's why I don't like paranormal romance. Thanks for stopping by my FF.

Oh! I can't wait to read Game of Thrones! I bought the first one and just haven't had a chance to read it yet, but I'm excited! Killing and action does make for an interesting read for sure!! No shame in that. :)

  16. I liked that about Game of Thrones, too. Though it becomes harder to remember all characters with every new book. ;)

  18. Thanks for dropping by. I've never read Uglies, but I did check out the plot since you sound so enthusiastic about it. It sounds so interesting, and a little bit scary! I get a bit tense when friendships turn awry.
