It's Friday and here is another Feature and Follow. You know how it works; AlisonCan Read and Parajunkee are the hosts and every week they have a new question for us to answer. It’s a way to meet new blogs and bloggers and socialize. :) In the links above you can learn how you can join too and everything there is to know. If you haven't join already, I totally recommend it. Now it's time for the new question!
QUESTION OF THE WEEK: What is a book you didn't like that all your friends raved about or what book did you love that wasn't popular?
Well, it is an interesting question. The first book
that came to my mind is Switched. I didn’t hate it, I love the third book, but
as a series, it wasn’t what I expected and I was a little disappointed. I had
heard so many people telling how amazing it was, I had seen amazing reviews and
trailers and it look like everything I’d like. When I read it, I just felt emptiness,
I missed the action and it was really flat. When I finished the series though, the
taste I had was a nice one, since I loved the third book. I guess I have mixed feelings
for this series. Here are my thoughts about TRYLLE as I had written when I had finished the books.
How about you? Feel free to share it with me.
I haven't read that series yet!
ReplyDeleteI try not to read many reviews or hearing what people say because then I feel very dissapointed when the book it's not what I expected.

Hi Ruty,
DeleteIt is the best not to search too much but in some cases I can't resist. :)
I loved that series, but I am hearing more and more bad things about it, which is sad.

I feel that way too when I hear bad things about a book that I loved but everyone is different. :)
DeleteThanks for stopping by.
I have a huge TBR pile- so I've only been working on books I chose myself from authors I know I like. I have several on my shelf that are new...so we shall see.
ReplyDeleteHave a great Friday!

Haven't read this one yet. Gosh, too many books in my TBR. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my FF. =D
Hi Summer and Madiha,
DeleteThank you so much for stopping by. I know...there are too many books and I want to read them all!!:)
Have a nice weekend!!
I liked the Trylle series, maybe just because the troll thing was so different and it sucked me in. I like Hocking's zombie books better though.

I still need to read this seies myself. Still need to read a lot of Amanda Hocking's books that I have accumulated these past few years!

The Trylle books were a huge disappointment for me. I have friends who swear by them, but no thanks for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by & following! Following you back. :)

I haven't read any of those yet.

Hi! New follower via GFC! I've heard of that series but I haven't read it yet. It sucks though when everyone talks about how amazing a book is but then you read it and feel let down. Sometimes our expectations just don't match the book :) Thanks for sharing & for stopping by earlier ♥
