Dazed - Synopsis

Weeks are passing by so fast that I’ve lost track of time. It’s Monday already and that leaves me only three days before I have to take some time off and visit my parents, which means no internet. At least I have my cell, which will give me some internet access. Anyway, for today I decided to share with you the synopsis for my book, DAZED. Take a minute to read it, if you want, and tell me your thoughts. Would you read this story? How everything’s sounds?

So, here is the blurb for DAZED:

Some of you may know this game but this is another version. Tag an author who is now “IT”. To play this game you have to share your Work in Progress (WIP) or it’s a smacked bottom and straight to bed with no supper! The choice is yours. :)

Criticism: Telling and Showing

It’s Monday morning and I’m here to talk about criticism once more. As the weeks pass by, I work more on Dazed and I read new stories from other writers too. This experience is really helpful because it helps me understand important parts about writing and the way I think, changes a little. This time I want to share with you the biggest lesson I’ve learned from the Critique Circle: A book must not tell a story, it must show it.

The most creative time of the day

It’s official, my most creative time of the day it’s when I go to sleep. No, no don’t laugh, I’m serious. I can’t really explain why but it has happened to me too many times to ignore it. The moment I close my eyes and I try to sleep, my mind just go wild. Maybe it’s the quiet of the night, no lights, to TV, no music, nothing. It’s just me and my thoughts.

Those moments … something magical happens.

I am in the happy place to present you an upcoming book by the wonderful Nadine Ducca. If the name rings a bell it’s because I have talked about her again. She’s the one who showed me Critique Circle. Well, Nadine’s debut novel, SERVING TIME will be available soon. Check it out on Goodreads now. It’s a fantasy novel, taking place in a dystopian world. Are you ready for the cover reveal?

A Feast for Crows - The magic continues

I recently finished A Feast for Crows, the fourth book in the Game of Thrones series and I have to talk about it. Don’t worry. It’s not a review and I won’t spoil it for you. It’s just that these books are really different from any other I’ve ever read. In an older post, I promised that I’d keep reading this series and how could I stop?

The fourth book is actually half a book because we only see some of the characters. Despite that it’s a long book; I didn’t feel for a moment that it was only half. And I am wondering now, can anyone write the sequel of book with half the characters? And if he can, will the book be loved by the readers? Readers are the hardest judges and it’s too easy to love and hate a book. What George R. R Martin achieved, it’s truly magical. He has established every little character in his books and he managed to make us care for every one of them. So we don’t mind if some are missing for a while.

Beautiful Blogger Award

April’s here and the sun is hotter. It’s a beautiful day and a day for a new award. I want to thank Kaykay for nominating me for three different awards, Beautiful Blogger Award, Sunshine Award and Hug Award. Kaykay is a fellow blogger and writer and he blogs at THE CREATIVE FORUM. Take a look and follow him. :) From the three awards, I’ll choose one and that is the Beautiful Blogger Award. So here how it works.
