QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Have you ever read a book that you thought you would hate - ? Did you end up hating it? Did you end up loving it? Or would you never do that?

That’s an interesting question. I am very picky when it comes to books and I usually choose something that I end up liking. A few years back I was debating if I should read The Name of the Rose, by Umberto Eco. I had started that book many times but I wasn’t able to finish it and that made me mad. :) Finally, I managed to finish it and it was a really good book. It has a very nice plot but some parts were a little difficult to read. Despite that I enjoyed it.

How about you? It’s only a book or this keeps happening?

  4. I agree, I am picky and usually don't want to waste my time on a book I think I will hate. Thanks for stopping by my FF! New Follower :-)

  5. I've had a few books I've always been skeptical about. Thinking I could either love it or hate it. Usually it happened when the book was shelved in romance and I would think it would be a total romance story despite the cover description having me think otherwise!

Luckily the majority of those times was just the bookstore being weird by putting this totally awesome and amazing paranormal read with only a hint of romance in the romance section!

    Here's my Follow Friday

    Have a GREAT weekend!

  6. I have never even heard of this book. There are a few books from series that I started and feel compelled to keep reading. But usually I expect to dislike them and I'm usually right. Thanks for visiting my FFF.

  7. A few times I have read books I expected to hate. Sometimes I do end up hating them like I thought, but just as much, there will be times I find myself enjoying the book instead, if not flat-out loving it. (I actually discovered what's now one of my favorite authors by trying a book that seemed unappealing to me at first!) So, I try to keep an open mind sometimes! You never know when you'll find a hidden gem. :)

    1. That's true.
There are so many books and we just have to try a few. Sometimes it was harder to get used the author's writing but when I did, I enjoyed the book. :)
